Mid-Year Message-Are You Wasting Your Time or Investing It?

May 31st, 2007
It seems like yesterday when we all shouted ‘happy new year’ to welcome the year 2007 but like it or not,the year is already half gone.Today is May 31st,tomorrow,June 1st, marks the beginning of the 2nd half of the year. But the big question I want to ask you all my friends (and myself) is;have you achieved all the goals you set for yourself (for the first six months) at the beginning of the year? I believe this is the perfect time to do a thorough soul-searching to determine how far you have gone on your goals and determine the reason you have not been able to achieve all of them. This will put you in a position to make amends where necessary.

One reason I can however tell you is responsible for not achieving your goals is the fact that you have no respect for the sanctity of time.’Time is money’,you have heard that a thousand and one times,so,let me not bore you with that. But are you treating time like money? Are you investing your time or spending it? Infact,if you ask me,I will say time is more than money because if you spend money, you can always get some money back from a friend, relative, etc (even if it’s a loan) but if you spend time, who on earth is going to loan you time? Just tell me. Aha,do you now realise the eternal importance of time? Yet,we all fritter away valuable time that we can use to build a bright future for ourselves.

So,from today,as we go into the second half of the year,I urge you to start doing something productive with your time and stop spending it on watching home videos, lazing about with friends, socialisng at the slightest opportunity and even where unnecessary, etc.Start taking your time serious because any time wasted can never be gotten back.Invest your time.Period!

Before you go,quickly have a look at this help I have just created for Internet newbies at http://internetnewbiesguide.com. Take advantage of the low price before I change my mind.

How to Turn Your Hobby Into Cash!

May 29th, 2007
“Hide not your talents. They for use were made. What’s a sundial in the shade?”
— Ben Franklin

It’s great to delve into an interesting hobby such as artwork, photography, or crafting paper jewelry. It’s even more exciting (and financially rewarding) to turn your special talents into a successful home-based business. That’s exactly what I have done with my love for reading, writing and empowering others.I have turned what used to be hobbies into a money-making venture.Just like me,you also have hobbies, though they may not be reading and writing.Your hobby could be singing, dancing, sculpture, sewing, just about anything. But then, how do you turn this hobby into cash? The tips below will help you.

1.Do a thorough soul searching and ask yourself, what am I really passionate about? Get a piece of paper and list all the ideas that cross your mind on the right side. You must however note that this is a subjective analysis.Once you have successfully done this, you will now move to the next stage, which is the objective part of your analysis.

2.Ask friends and family what they think you are good at.This can be very objective if you ask them open-endedly,that is,don’t ask,’I'm good at packaging parties? Aren’t I?’ Simply ask them,’what do you think I’m good at?’ Their answers are going to surprise you.Now that you have done this, write the answers you got on the left side of the paper you used for step number 1.

3.Now,try to balance both sides. Is there any where you listed an idea and a friend told you, you were good at it? Note that down as one of the probable hobbies you can turn into a business. You may end up with 3 of such overlapping results. Now,out of the 3 hobbies pencilled down, which one,in your hearts of hearts,do you think you are most passionate about? That will be the hobby you will turn into a business but before you rush to start, make sure you heed the following steps to avoid heartache and frustration.

4.Is there a market for it or just a fad that will fade away? Be certain there is a market for your hobby to thrive in the marketplace before you launch out.

5.Now that you are prepared to launch out, start getting the word out about your business through word-of-mouth.Your first customer could as well be a friend or relative.Devise a system of effectively marketing and publicising your business. It doesn’t have to cost you a fortune, there are free ways of doing it.

6.While the business is growing, you could take a short course in business management, accounting, etc to empower you the more as only the passion aspect of it is not enough to sustain a business in the long run.

7.When your business starts experiencing teething problems, just put in all the passion you have for your hobby and very soon, you will be smiling to the bank! Don’t say I didn’t tell you.

There Is a Solution to Every Problem In Your Life and Business!

May 29th, 2007
How many times have you caught yourself saying that there could be no other solution to a problem – and that that problem leads to a dead end? How many times have you felt stumped knowing that the problem laying before you is one you cannot solve. No leads. No options. No solutions.

Did it feel like you had exhausted all possible options and yet are still before the mountain – large, unconquerable, and impregnable? When encountering such enormous problems, you may feel like you’re hammering against a steel mountain. The pressure of having to solve such a problem may be overwhelming.

But rejoice! There might be some hope yet!

With some creative problem-solving techniques you may be able to look at your problem in a different light. And that light might just be the end of the tunnel that leads to possible solutions.

First of all, in the light of creative problem-solving, you must be open-minded to the fact that there may be more than just one solution to the problem. And, you must be open to the fact that there may be solutions to problems you thought were unsolvable.

Now, with this optimistic mindset, we can try to be a little bit more creative in solving our problems.

Number one; maybe the reason we cannot solve our problems is that we have not really taken a hard look at what the problem is. Here, trying to understanding the problem and having a concrete understanding of its workings is integral solving the problem. If you know how it works, what the problem is, then you have a better foundation towards solving the problem.

Not trying to make the simple statement of what problem is. Try to identify the participating entities and what their relationships with one another are. Take note of the things you stand to gain any stand to lose from the current problem. Now you have a simple statement of what the problem is.

Number two; try to take note of all of the constraints and assumptions you have the words of problem. Sometimes it is these assumptions that obstruct our view of possible solutions. You have to identify which assumptions are valid, in which assumptions need to be addressed.

Number three; try to solve the problem by parts. Solve it going from general view towards the more detailed parts of the problem. This is called the top-down approach. Write down the question, and then come up with a one-sentence solution to that from them. The solution should be a general statement of what will solve the problem. From here you can develop the solution further, and increase its complexity little by little.

Number four; although it helps to have critical thinking aboard as you solve a problem, you must also keep a creative, analytical voice at the back of your head. When someone comes up with a prospective solution, tried to think how you could make that solution work. Try to be creative. At the same time, look for chinks in the armor of that solution.

Number five; it pays to remember that there may be more than just one solution being developed at one time. Try to keep track of all the solutions and their developments. Remember, there may be more than just one solution to the problem.

Number six; remember that old adage,” two heads are better than one.” That one is truer than it sounds. Always be open to new ideas. You can only benefit from listening to all the ideas each person has. This is especially true when the person you’re talking to has had experience solving problems similar to yours.

You don’t have to be a gung-ho, solo hero to solve the problem. If you can organize collective thought on the subject, it would be much better.

Number seven; be patient. As long as you persevere, there is always a chance that a solution will present itself. Remember that no one was able to create an invention the first time around.

Creative thinking exercises can also help you in your quest be a more creative problems solver.

Here is one example.

Take a piece of paper and write any word that comes to mind at the center. Now look at that word then write the first two words that come to your mind. This can go on until you can build a tree of related words. This helps you build analogical skills, and fortify your creative processes.

So, next time you see a problem you think you can not solve, think again. The solution might just be staring you right in the face. All it takes is just a little creative thinking, some planning, and a whole lot of work.

How to Run an Extremely Profitable Internet Business Without a Website and a Computer of Your Own!

May 26th, 2007
When I talk about running an extremely profitable Internet business without a website and a computer of your own, most people think I am going nuts but the truth is that it can be done, afterall, that’s how I started my internet business.

When I started,I didn’t have a computer, neither did I have a website but I still made money,so,how did I do it? That’s what I want to teach you in this post,so,be patient to read till the very end. But, if you are new to the Internet, you may not be able to understand everything in this post. Find all the help you need as an Internet newbie at http://internetnewbiesguide.com.

Now,since you don’t have a computer, you may have to use that of the cafe or business centre near your house. And you may even get to use it free just by relating well with the owners.it depends on you, sharpen your relationship skills to attract favour into your life but even if they ask you to pay,do it willingly because you know you are going somewhere and you can’t allow anything to serve as a hindrance. In the alternative, you can use the computer of a friend, when he or she is not using it or on weekends when he or she is less busy, politely ask your friend,I am sure he or she will agree. It could even be the computer of an association or fellowship to which you belong that you will get to use, whatever happens, make sure your not having a computer does not debar you from starting your Internet business. There are several other alternatives if you would just sit down and think straight, instead of moaning over not being able to afford a computer.

With the issue of computer resolved, let’s now move to how to run your Internet business without a website. This is a step-by-step guide.

Step No 1-Find a hungry niche market.A niche market is simply a group of people who have similar interests,eg football, dating, weightloss, etc

Step No 2-Find out the information they need and create an e-course or free ebook on it.for instance, for a group interested in weightloss, they want to know stress-free ways to lose weight,so,create an e-course on it or free ebook but I tell you, ebooks have more perceived value but if you cannot create an ebook, simply do like a 7 or 3-day report.

Step No 3-Set up an autoresponder. What is an autoresponder? It is an email program that sends out emails at the time you program it to send them. You can call it a virtual secretary,if you want. Now,there are several free autoresponders, and even paid ones that you can use.If you are cash-strapped,you can get free autoresponders from http://getresponse.com,
http://freeautobot.com,http://sendfree.com,etc. Just go to these sites and sign up.Once you have signed up,upload your e-course or ebook into your autoresponder.

Step No 4-Advertise/promote your autoresponder address. How you will advertise depends on which market you are targetting. If you are targetting the Nigerian market,a small classifed advert in a paper which your target market reads will work wonders. If you are targetting the world wide market, networking at forums, writing articles and submitting them to directories, and other strategies will help you get people to sign up but I advise you start at home first before going international, afterall, charity begins at home. Now that you have advertised your autoresponder address, you will start getting sign ups,if you have many sign ups,it’s a sign that there is a market there.Congratulate yourself, you have already started building your list.

Step No 5-Do a comprehensive survey of the people on your list, ask them what information they are prepared to pay for,if you make it available to them.Ask them their problems and needs. Now,come up with a product or service that addresses that need and sell it to them.

Step no 7-Smile to the bank.Of course, you will make money if you have followed the above steps to the letter. So,what are you waiting for? Get into the groove and start doing something NOW!Afterall, the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams(quote by Eleanor Roosevelt).

How to Use the Power of Asking to Work Your Way to Success!

May 25th, 2007
Of late, I have come to appreciate the power of asking in the journey towards success and that explains why I have decided to upload this article on the power of asking by Tristan Loo.I hope you do find it useful. It must however be noted that while there is no sin in asking for help (from people) to achieve your goals, don’t overdo it,don’t turn yourself into a fine ‘bara’,it will boomerang.Ask,but, ask wisely. Here’s the article…

If I could only give one piece of negotiating advice to someone then undoubtedly that piece of advice would be a simple three letter word:“Ask.”This simple word is the most powerful negotiating tool you will ever have and it is the most powerful persuasion tool that you will ever have. Why is that? Simply because the biggest hurdle that we create comes from our own level of confidence. We create our own internal roadblocks for success in the form of self-doubt. We often convince ourselves that we won’t get something because of some rationale that we conjure up for ourselves in our minds before we even get around to asking for it and this self-doubt makes us not ask for what we want.

No one likes rejection. It’s painful and in my article about human motivation, I explain that humans are motivated in two ways: (1) We try to get as far away from pain as possible, and (2) We are attracted to that which gives us pleasure. Rejection is embarrassing and it hurts our ego, hence it is painful, so we try to get as far away from rejection as possible by choosing the safe route and walking the other way. We tend to justify walking away from a rejection by telling ourselves that if someone wanted us to have something, they would offer it to us.

The flaw in this thinking is that we do not know why a person might not offer us something. There is a chance that they will say no, but most of the time, it is because they do not know that we wanted something to begin with. For example, a girl may not wake up thinking about going out on a date with you. Neither does your boss wake up thinking about your next raise. What’s very important to you, may not be important to them until you bring it to their attention.

Why you Shouldn’t Fear Rejection

Jack Canfield in his book, The Principles of Success, gives a good reason why we should not fear rejection. He says that there really is no need to fear rejection because if you really look at the situation, what have you truly lost? The answer is nothing. If you ask a girl out and she says “No,” then realize that you did not have the girl before you asked her out and you don’t have the girl now, so really what has changed? Nothing. And think about it. You have lived your entire life without dating this girl, so you know how to deal with it. Simple move on to the next one and play the numbers game. That’s what life is.

If you Don’t Ask, you will Never Receive

Opportunities float past us daily and it’s the secret of the highly successful people out there to ask for things that they want to seize as many opportunities as possible. When you want something, simple ask for it. This is a little truism that I leave my students-”If you don’t ask, then you will absolutely 100% won’t receive. If you do ask, then there is a chance that you might receive.” Either way, you stand to lose nothing by asking, so just do it.

The 6 Biggest Myths Surrounding Internet Marketing

May 24th, 2007

What are the 6 biggest myths surrounding the Internet marketing scene?

• Myth #1: Anyone can start an online business - The truth is NO. An online business is meant for people who are willing to learn everyday and put that knowledge into action! It is NOT meant for people who are couch potatoes with a thick Internet marketing encyclopedia spread in front of them, but fails to take any action.

• Myth #2: Internet business is EASY - What a wrong perception! Is anything in life or in business is easy?

Relative to other businesses, an online business is comparatively easy but what people tend to forget is that it takes loads of time and effort to make your online business a success. You need to apply yourself!

• Myth #3: An online business is FREE to do – Wrong again. It does cost money to do business either online or offline.

But it doesn’t cost much to do an online business. You don’t have to invest on office spaces nor there is any escalating maintenance costs. Your only cost normally is for your hosting charges and an Internet connection.

• Myth #4: It’s easy to get “GET RICH QUICK” On the Internet! – Nothing could be further than from the truth. Unless you have an uncle who left you with a big inheritance or you are lucky enough to win a lottery, there is nothing known as GET RICH QUICK.

Yes, it’s true that you can make good money online within a short time when compared to other offline businesses but it’s not an overnight phenomenon as made out by some unscrupulous marketers. You need to be ultra-focused to build your business. You need to develop a responsive subscriber base, satisfied customer base and create an unshakable reputation for yourself.

• Myth #5: I am too late to be in an Internet Business - Some people believe that the Internet business is saturated and its virtually impossible to break the entry barrier. The truth is that an online business explosion is impending - if you care to think about it.

Internet marketing is NOT same as selling ‘How to make money from the Internet’ kind of stuff! The scope is much higher than that and the truth is, anyone with a high-demand product or service that is web-savvy and salable online can start an Internet business …today!

• Myth #6: The ‘BIG Money’ Online is just a lie - The truth is earning ‘Big money’ on the Internet is entirely possible.

But you need to possess the right attitude. You need to believe in yourself supported with committed follow up positive action. This is the key to it. There are thousands of people who earn comfortable incomes from their homes using ONLY the Internet as their main tool.
Enjoy!

How to Build a Solid Foundation for Your Internet Business!

May 24th, 2007
This post was supposed to have been made yesterday,I really apologise for the delay.Today,I am going to teach you how to build a solid foundation for your Internet business but before I go into the article proper, let me just share this email I received while putting finishing touches to this article from a guy I met early this year. His name is Bamidele Abiodun Iyiola. He came all the way from Badagry to have a one-on-one consultation with me.As usual,I put him through but emphasised the need for him to get thorough Internet marketing knowledge as a beginner. He heeded my advice and ordered my Internet Marketing Guide for Newbies. This is what he has to say after going through the package.

“Hi Madam,
I’ve just finished reading the Internet Marketing Guide For Newbies and I really enjoyed and appreciate the contents.
Infact, it’s an eye opener. I say kudos to you for a job well done.

As you’re going through this mail, I believe you remember your internet baby from Badagry. I call myself your internet baby because you have promised to be my mentor and as such I think you should be able to nurse me into adulthood in internet business.
I saw your mail concerning the seminar you organised on Google Adsense and it’s a pity I couldn’t attend the seminar due to some unforeseen reasons beyond my control. But I think we can arrrange a one on one training for that.

Anyway, I have some questions for you concerning how to go about setting up my own internet business. The questions are as follows:
1. How do I open an online US Account?
2. Which of those businesses can I start without a Dom account or an online account?
3. Can I get started without registering the business?
4.How do I get started in Google Adsense?

These are just a few of the questions I have for you but at least giving me answers to these ones will do for the time being.
Moreso, I’d like you to give me advise concerning the name I could use to register my internet business. As my mentor, I would always like to follow your footsteps and I will appreciate it if you’re willing to put me through. As your slogan says you’re passionately committed to my success, I believe you’ll do according to your words.
I’ll be looking forward to your urgent response and I believe we’ll definitely meet at the top. Bye for now. I remain

Yours Sincerely,
Bamidele Abiodun Iyiola,
08035685079, 07028008606.”

Like Abiodun, you can also enjoy my Internet Marketing Guide for Newbies. For more info, visit http://internetnewbiesguide.com.

Now,to the business of the day but before then,I want to quickly tell you the importance of building a solid foundation for your Internet business.Except we want to lie,we all know the importance of having a strong foundation when we are building a house, and even if we pretend not to know, the series of house collapsing incidents we have had in recent times are pointers to the importance of having a solid foundation when erecting a building.Just as a building needs a solid foundation, your Internet business needs a solid foundation to survive the test of time.

Now,how do you build a solid foundation for your Internet business?

1.The quickest way to online success is to model those who are already successful at what you want to do. It’ s that simple. Look out for people who have already done what you want to do online and follow in their footsteps.I am talking about people who have verifiable proof of having made money online, not some made-up story.

2.Build a good reputation. Present yourself as reliable, honest and trustworthy, a person who knows what you are doing, be a person of your word, and foremost…always put your customer first.Enthusiasm is exciting and contagious! Be confident and competent in your business. The customer will get caught up in your enthusiasm.Build relationships with your customers and fellow netpreneurs. Make your web site, ezine and products “user friendly” by asking for their participation and their opinions. Let them get to know you and your business. On the Internet, you can build both personal and business relationships without actually “meeting” someone.I am speaking from experience here because there are several people I have ‘met’ and who have even bought information products from me but whom I have never seen face-to-face but because they trust me,we are able to have business dealings together.

3.Build a list. You may have heard the cliche,’the money’s in the list.’Truly so.And here too,I am speaking from experience. From the word go,I decided to build a list for my Internet business and that is the basis for any little success I am enjoying right now. So,find a way to capture the email addresses of people who come into contact with your Internet business so you can contact them later on.A great way to do this is by using an autoresponder. There are free ones which you can use like http://freeautobot.com,http://getresponse.com,etc.

4.Learn how to market your Internet business.Very critical.Of what use is a great Internet business that nobody knows about? You must find a way to get the word out about your business, either through paid or free methods, the bottomline is to be able to effectively promote your Internet business. That is the heart of the matter as far as online success is concerned. One way of getting free advertising on the Internet for your business is by writing and submitting articles to directories. This method is powerful and I am talking from experience.Share your knowledge, experience and expertise and receive free publicity by writing articles.Writing is the most important skill you can learn for online marketing. This establishes you as an expert in your field while building your reputation and business, plus giving you author status. This is another way of keeping your information in front of people.

Writing articles is not as difficult as it sounds. You don’t have to be a professional writer, just write your article as if you were talking to a person sitting there beside you, one-on-one. Research your subject information and share what you know.

Write short articles around 500-1000 words. Then market your articles in different areas. Post your article on your web site, publish it in your Ezine, Submit your article to other ezines, offer it as “free content” to other web sites, and/or compile a series of articles into a “free e-book bonus”.

Yet another way of generating free publicity for your business is by Networking.Network through message boards, discussion groups and newsgroups. Become part of a question and answer group or get involved in conversations and become known and trusted in your field. This builds your reputation and establishes you as being reliable and trustworthy. Subscribe to and read other peoples ezines of similar interests. Good quality ezines contain a wealth of information and resources.Ask for help and never stop learning. If you’re not sure how to do something or have a problem, ask someone. I have “met” some of the nicest, most helpful and friendliest people since setting up my Internet business.

5.Answer your mails promptly.E-mail is to the online line customer what the telephone is to the storefront business…It is the lifeline.
Answer all your e-mail inquiries as soon as possible. Try to make it a priority to respond within 24 hours. This demonstrates a lot about you, your business practices and it also reflects your character. Be as helpful and as personable as possible.Remember you once needed help too. Most of the time these people will become customers and subscribe to your ezine as well.

6.Publish Your Own Ezine. An ezine is simply an electronic magazine. This is one of the best business-building tools on the Internet and it is not hard to do. There are sites that offer free Ezine templates and many sites (goarticles.com,ezinearticles.com,articlestree.com) from which to get “free content” articles for placing in your Ezine.Ezine publishing allows you to market to your database of customers and prospects, with new offers, updates on your site or products, resources and any other information you have to make available. At the same time sending a timely ezine keeps your name and information in front of your customers and prospects.

7.Set Goals.Determine your main goal, and make small “mini” goals under that. Then work toward reaching one smaller goal at a time. Setting smaller goals that are attainable make your large goal easier to reached. When setting your goals, put a date or time limit on them. Having an open-end goal can cause you to loose focus. Do not listen to negative remarks and those who say you can’t do it. Set goals you can stick to and reach. The only person stopping you is…you! With each smaller goal you reach, you will gain confidence and become more excited and focused on the next goal. Work at it, never loose faith in yourself and before long, you will have reached your main goal!

8.Organize and Plan Your Time. There is a lot of time and work involved in creating and marketing your business. Writing a schedule will help you with keeping your time organized so that you can get everything done. Not having a plan can cause you to feel overwhelmed and then you are more likely to become discouraged and give up.Think positive and stay focused at all times. If you were to take a close look at all the successful Internet marketers who have made a great deal of money from their endeavours, you would find they have one thing in common! Dedication!! They are prepared to work long and hard to achieve their goals. They do not lose heart if everything doesn’t come together today, and they are rarely influenced by the ‘quick buck’. I cannot stress this point often enough to you.

9.NEVER…get involved in ‘get paid to read email’ sites–they are scams and you won’t earn a penny. They won’t even answer your emails of complaint! MLM too, or in fact any website telling you that your money will be doubled or tripled in a matter of days, or you will become rich over night, are scams. Avoid them!! It’s not difficult to find bona fide traders on the Internet. Look for offline contact points. An address or telephone number is a good sign they are genuine. Another good test is to send them an email before you sign up to see how efficiently they reply. Avoid the ‘Get-Rich-Quick’ schemes–they don’t work! Instead, focus on a niche market online and offer them products, services, etc related to that niche. For instance,if your niche market consists of golf enthusiasts, sell them a golf playing ebook and offer training on golf playing etc.

10.Don’t Be Content To Stay Where You Are.Things are always changing and moving on the Internet. Keep on top of things. Continue searching and reading new information.Remember to do something every day… send an e-mail, write or send out an article, post on a message board, send a letter and booklet to a publication… do something. ‘Everyday,do something that will inch you closer to a better tomorow’-Doug Firebaugh.Powerful quote,if you heed the advice.

As you change and move with the Internet and your business grows… be prepared to learn new and exciting skills and techniques along the way to… Internet Survival of the Fittest!

3 Things You Must Know To Succeed Online!

May 22nd, 2007
I always say success is predictable because there are certain traits you must see in the life of a person headed for the top.

And just like success generally is predictable, success online is also predictable. If you follow these 3 things I am going to blog about in this post, please know that you are headed for the top. Also,if you want to succeed online, you must have these 3 things.

1.You must know how the Internet works.

If you are hoping to succeed online without a knowledge of how the Internet works,I just want to tell you to stop day dreaming because it just won’t happen.Have a mentor put you through. This is the only reason I have a problem with people just buying websites without knowing how to promote it.First, get the knowledge.Who knows, you may even be able to set up a site for yourself in the very near future.Educate yourself properly. If you want one-on-one internet coaching,I am available but you must be prepared to pay my fees.

2.There is no shortcut to Internet wealth.

Stop looking for a shortcut to Internet wealth because it doesn’t exist.Even offline,a business has to go through certain stages before it becomes profitable.Only 419,as far as I am concerned is a shortcut to wealth. In every endeavour in this life, you must pay your dues before you will reap the gains. It is not the day a baby is born that the child walks. It is because you are looking for a shortcut to internet wealth that you have fallen victims of fraudsters several times.Stop looking for a shortcut henceforth and resolve to put in the necessary requirements to build an enduring Internet business.Have the long term in mind.

3.Be prepared to put in your all to make your Internet business succeed. When we talk about Internet wealth, many people think it is a machine that coughs out money.Yes,the Internet is a cash cow but you must know how to make it vomit the money. You must put in sleepless nights, your money(where necessary),your everything to make it online. It can be done. But you must know how to do it and that is why I highly recommend you go to http://internetnewbiesguide.com now.It will show you how to build your own Internet business in less than one week,if you are the aggressive type.Tomorrow,I will teach you how to build a solid foundation for your Internet business.

Top 5 Ways to Kick Start Your Online Business!

May 20th, 2007
It’s a brand new year and time and the perfect time to give your business the kick start it so desperately needs. Did you ever get the feeling that your business is at a standstill even if you’ve been in business for a while? Of course it does. It happens to everyone - I know that because it’s happened to me time and time again. In the following you’ll find the top five ways to give your business a boost.

1. Build a Website
Yes, we’re starting at the very beginning here. I’ve seen too many folks who for example are affiliate marketers or direct sales representatives and they’re still working with their “company issued” website. Sure, that might be the ideal (and easy way out). However, it is time to break out of that shell and build something better.

2. Learn SEO
Build It and They Will Come - Bull! That just does NOT happen so get that out of your head now. Take the time now and learn a little about Search Engine Optimization. Why waste the time building a website if the search engines can’t find you? There are a lot of things out there that you should be doing and more importantly, things you shouldn’t be doing. Learn how to build your website the right way now and you’ll thank yourself later.

3. Start a Newsletter
Hopefully you already have one but, if you don’t - start one now! You NEED a way to keep in front of your customer / visitors on a regular basis. Build a list of folks who WANT to know when you have specials, know when you have a new product, etc. etc. Your newsletter doesn’t have to be something huge and elaborate. As a matter of fact, here’s when the K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Sweetie)concept comes into play.

4. Advertise Your Business
To gain exposure/brand recognition, gain immediate sales, announce new products/services and search engine optimization are just a few of the reasons why you need to advertise. Very few businesses can survive without some type of advertising. It’s also one of the most important aspects in running certain types of businesses. Unfortunately, it seems to be one of the biggest steps missed and/or done incorrectly. Take the time to learn more about online advertising, sales copy writing and don’t skip this important step!

5. Online Promotion
There are many, many other ways to promote your business online (in addition to traditional advertising). Ebook writing, mini courses and article writing are just a few tactics. Believe it or not, these CAN be used with ANY online business (even affiliate marketers and direct sales representatives). Make it your goal to write one of the above this year.
